Hebrews 11:2-4

² For by it the ^[a](A)men of old ^[b](B)gained approval.

³ By faith we understand that the ^[c](C)worlds were prepared ^(D)by the word of God, so that what is seen ^(E)was not made out of things which are visible. ⁴ By faith ^(F)Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain, through which he ^(G)was approved as being righteous—God approving ^[d]his ^(H)gifts—and through ^[e]faith, though ^(I)he is dead, he still speaks.
